Tid Bit

I was thinking this morning one thing that Pastor Benny says, "there are three kinds of people, ones going into a storm, are in a storm, or are going out of a storm."

Each of our storms are different. They could be financial, marital, physical to name a few. But my current storm is one of confusion. It is from the evil one! How do I know that? Because my God is a God of order, and of peace.

Today I want to encourage you (and me) to be still (PS 46:10). Let's not partake in the chaos!! If I engage the chaos, then I cannot hear my LORD's still small voice (1King 19:12). Let's be confident that God will lead us!!

Ps 26:3 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Is 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You.

I choose to wait on Him, and while I wait, I will watch and as I watch, I will learn because Abba will never waste a lesson or a hurt.

Blessings!!

  1. Thanks for sharing that Charity. I woke up this morning with a feeling of just being overwhelmed. I am sure I created all of this for myself, but still the feeling is there. Your post is a nice reminder to me to be still.

I also love that God tells us several times to "fear not."

  2. Then, in an act of divine comedy, I just received a request to be a board member for a developing non-profit. This is a friend. I believe in his mission. I honestly told him I was feeling overwhelmed and didn't think I could do it right now and I might feel differently tomorrow.

Is God trying to teach me how to say "no?" Is He trying to show me that He will support me in doing good works? Am I allowing my pride to strive for salvation by works?

Wow, I need to get back to work. Testing kids seems easy right now...

  3. He does teach us to say no! And if we don't learn, he will MAKE us say no.

Take a deep breath, listen to your heart, when it purely seeks the LORD, He will not misguide you. He is speaking to you.

I will pray for you to stop feeling so overwhelmed. Remember, many hands make light work. His yoke is light! Seek first the kingdom of heaven, then all these things will be added unto you.
